Tapas: the fiesta of flavours

Tapas is more than Spanish cuisine. It's the Mediterranean way of life.

Hungary’s first ever tapas bar opened its doors in 2004 in Budapest, at Kálvin Square. Since then, Pata Negra has been synonimous with supreme quality tapas and relaxed ambience, turning the Kálvin Square (on the Pest-side) and Frankel Leó Street (on the Buda-side) restaurants the unofficial gastronomic embassies of Spain in Hungary.

Now tapas & copas await you on both sides of the Danube, with our third and newest restaurant a stone's throw away from Andrássy Avenue. At Pata Negra we are proud of our authentic tapas selection with more than 40 glutenfree and 30 lactosefree options to choose from, our award-winning Iberian cheese, our San Miguel Selecta premium beer and our selected wine list representing more than 20 protected wine regions of Spain.

Tapas on a chargrill. This is the new Pata Negra Asador.

Supreme quality Spanish meat and fish selection chargrilled with passion and expertise. Discover your favourite tapas dishes reborn in the MIBRASA charcoal oven of the new Pata Negra Asador and share them with your beloved ones in the heart of Budapest, a UNESCO World Heritage site. At Pata Negra Asador we are proud of our 'chuletón', the Spanish steak that those with a carnivorous appetite hold in high regard worldwide.

As enthusiastic advocates of Spanish culinary traditions for two decades, we always strive to create with value in mind: believing in the highest quality Denominación de Origen ingredients and the professionalism of our longtime Spanish partners. Passion and authenticity lie at the heart of every dish we plate at the three Pata Negra restaurants on both sides of the river Danube. Don’t miss the fiesta of flavours.
